Science Teacher – South Sheffield (S8) | Elevate Supply

Elevate Supply is supporting a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in South Sheffield (S8) in recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic educator to join a forward-thinking team and inspire young minds through the wonders of science.

The school aims to appoint a teacher to start from May half term, with the role running until the end of the academic year. For the right candidate, there is a high possibility of a permanent position from September.

Pay Rate: £140 – £200 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.

The Role: As a Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and practical lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, contributing to a thriving department that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning. You will help students achieve academic success while fostering a supportive and respectful classroom environment.

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (KS3/KS4)
• Differentiate planning and instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Use practical experiments and demonstrations to enhance learning
• Track and assess student progress using school systems
• Contribute to curriculum resource development and enrichment activities
• Collaborate with colleagues for cohesive teaching practice
• Communicate with parents, carers, and staff to support student development

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching Science in secondary settings
• Strong subject knowledge across all science disciplines
• Commitment to inclusive, student-centered teaching
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Creativity and passion for making science accessible and exciting
