Job description

This exciting secondary teaching vacancy is within an Ofsted rated “Outstanding” school who require a Science Teacher, with easy access to work in Hertfordshire, to join their strong and dynamic team starting in January 2017.

The school is located on the edge of an attractive market town with a population of 34,000, 20 minutes by train from Central London. The successful candidate will be teaching Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, to mixed ability groups. There may also be an element of teaching Biology and/or Chemistry at KS5.

The school is looking for an enthusiastic NQT or experienced teacher with strong Science subject knowledge – Biology or Chemistry preferable but not essential. The candidate must be passionate about teaching Science and the well-being and progression of the students.

The candidate must be able to plan, prepare and deliver high quality and well-structured lessons, have excellent classroom management skills, be able to work as part of a strong and dynamic team, and display a willingness to go the extra mile to ensure pupil progression.
