Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging science lessons to students in accordance with the curriculum standards
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop lesson plans, teaching resources, and assessment materials
  • Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages students' participation and fosters their love for science
  • Assess students' progress and provide timely feedback to students and their parents or guardians
  • Supervise and maintain discipline both inside and outside the classroom
  • Participate in school events, including parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, and extracurricular activities
  • Stay updated with the latest teaching techniques, educational resources, and scientific developments

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science Education or a related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
  • Proven experience as a Science teacher in a primary or secondary school setting
  • In-depth knowledge of the science curriculum and the ability to deliver effective and engaging lessons
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet the demands of a dynamic teaching environment
