Science Teacher job - Leicester
Start date: September
End date: Until Christmas with the potential to extend
Position: long-term Science teacher position
Location: Loughborough based secondary school

We are working in partnership with an 11-16 secondary school in Loughborough seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to join their team at the start of the new academic year. This is a full-time, long-term role until Christmas, with the potential to extend. Due to the nature of this role, full teaching responsibilities will be required, including planning and marking. To be successful, you should have recent experience teaching Science to KS3 and KS4. ECTs are welcome to apply.

  • Deliver engaging and creative science lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Plan and prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of the department’s curriculum.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities such as sports clubs and school trips.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECTs are welcome to apply.
  • Bachelor's degree in science or a related field.
  • Recent experience teaching Science at secondary school level.
  • Strong behaviour and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff.
