Overview

Quantum Scholars is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Science Teacher to join an "Outstanding" secondary school in North-West London. This full-time position is on a Long Term Supply Contract starting in September 2025, lasting for one academic year.

Responsibilities

1. Teaching & Learning: Deliver high-quality, engaging Science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential to teach Key Stage 5.
2. Curriculum Planning: Develop lesson plans and materials that cater to diverse learning needs with a differentiated approach.
3. Assessment: Monitor student progress through tests, assignments, and homework; provide constructive feedback.
4. Classroom Management: Maintain an inclusive environment that motivates and encourages student potential.
5. Collaboration: Work with the Science department and colleagues to ensure a cohesive curriculum and enhance learning experiences.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in Science or related field with specialization in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
• Proven secondary school Science teaching experience.
• Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and ability to teach all three sciences.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for science and inspiring students in STEM subjects.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and be an active team member.
• Commitment to professional development and current educational practices.
• Availability to start in September 2025.
