Job description

We’re working with a large secondary school in Birmingham rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted to recruit a dedicated Science Teacher for a supply role starting in September. You’ll be teaching mixed-ability groups across KS3 and KS4, with around 28 pupils per class. The school has a well-equipped science department and offers an ambitious and supportive environment focused on student progress and academic growth. This long-term position is available due to long-term sickness cover, and onboarding is taking place throughout May.

Role Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4

Use practical and theoretical teaching methods to build scientific understanding

Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed

Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Candidate Requirements:

QTS or equivalent, with experience teaching Science at secondary level

Confident delivering Biology, Chemistry, and Physics content at KS3 and KS4

Strong classroom management and commitment to high-quality teaching

Available for a supply role starting in September
