A leading secondary school in Watford is seeking a motivated Science Teacher for a full-time, long-term position starting September 2025. The successful candidate will deliver captivating lessons across various science disciplines while fostering a supportive learning environment for all students. Salary: £33,000 £45,000 (dependent on experience)

We re working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Watford that has earned a strong reputation for academic excellence, inclusivity, and a supportive learning environment.
They are currently seeking a passionate and motivated Science Teacher to join the team from September on a long-term, full-time basis. This role is suitable for both experienced teachers and ECTs with a genuine enthusiasm for science and a talent for making complex topics accessible and exciting.
Key Responsibilities:Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics specialism welcomed)
Deliver engaging, practical, and well-structured lessons that promote scientific inquiry
Foster a positive learning environment that encourages questioning and experimentation
Assess student work, provide detailed feedback, and track academic progress
Contribute to departmental planning and the development of new resources
Support students with exam preparation and coursework, particularly at GCSE level
Encourage participation in science clubs, projects, and STEM-related initiatives
Take an active role in school life and wider community activities
Holds QTS or equivalent qualification (preferred but strong unqualified candidates may be considered)
Has experience teaching secondary science
Possesses strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education
Adopts a creative, student-focused approach to teaching and learning
Is confident in managing classroom behaviour and creating an inclusive space
Holds an Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply for one)
A supportive and collaborative science department
