Job description

Are you an experienced Science Teacher looking for your next long-term role in Birmingham?

Winner Education are working with a secondary school in Great Barr seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to start in September on a full-time basis for the full academic year. You will be teaching across Key Stages 3 to 5, supporting students' progress and preparing them for both GCSE and A-Level exams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging and accessible science lessons from KS3 to KS5

  • Adapt teaching methods to suit individual needs and abilities

  • Create a positive and focused classroom environment

  • Support students with GCSE and A-Level preparation

  • Track and assess pupil progress, producing regular reports

  • Work alongside the Curriculum Lead to ensure high-quality provision

  • Provide revision and intervention sessions when required

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and learning

  • Attend parent evenings and contribute to the wider school community

The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Have recent experience teaching science in a UK secondary school

  • Be confident teaching Combined Science at GCSE and A-Level

  • Hold QTS or a science-related degree with teaching experience

  • Have some understanding or experience of working with students with SEN

  • Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Be adaptable, resilient, and a strong team player
