General Science Teacher - Maternity Cover (1 Year)
Location: Hatfield, Hertfordshire
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Fixed-Term (12 months)
Salary: 33,000 - 50,000 per annum (Main Pay Scale - London Fringe, depending on experience)
Key Stages: KS3 and KS4 (applications also welcomed from experienced Primary or Unqualified Teachers)

Tradewind Recruitment is urgently seeking a committed and dynamic General Science Teacher on behalf of a respected alternative provision in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. This is a 12-month maternity cover role starting in September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a supportive, student-focused environment. The school caters to young people who have found mainstream education challenging and offers small class sizes, strong pastoral support, and a collaborative staff team.

About the Role:

• Teach General Science across Key Stages 3 and 4

Who We're Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher (QTS/QTLS), or experienced unqualified teacher with relevant background
• Experience with SEMH students is a strong advantage, but not essential
• Confident in managing behaviour and creating an inclusive, encouraging learning space
• Committed, energetic, and ready to have a meaningful impact from day one
• Able to start and commit to a full academic year from September 2025
