Job Description:

An Independent Girls' school in Islington is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Science Teacher for a permanent, full-time role commencing in September. The successful candidate will be passionate about Science and capable of teaching Biology, Chemistry, and Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver engaging Science lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics for Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Prepare students for GCSE examinations across the sciences, ensuring a solid understanding.
  • Foster an inquiry-based learning environment encouraging practical exploration of scientific concepts.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and resource creation.
  • Encourage student engagement through practical experiments and real-world applications.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a Science specialism.
  • Experience teaching Science at secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4), covering all three disciplines.
  • Strong knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Excellent communication and teaching skills, making science accessible and engaging.
