Science Teacher - Mainstream Secondary School, Crawley

Location: West Sussex

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Contract: Full-time, Term-time only

Driving Required: Yes (due to location)

Academics is currently recruiting for a dynamic and dedicated Science Teacher to join a forward-thinking mainstream secondary school in East Grinstead. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver engaging science lessons and inspire students to explore the world around them.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan and teach engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics across Key Stages
2. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
3. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and guidance
4. Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional support needs
5. Contribute to the development of the science curriculum and department

Requirements:

1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
2. Experience teaching Science at secondary level
3. Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education
4. Excellent classroom management and communication skills
5. Full UK driving licence preferred (school may not be easily accessible by public transport)
