A fantastic Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Wandsworth is looking for a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join their team immediately. This is a wonderful opportunity to work with students who face challenges in mainstream education, providing them with the support and inspiration they need to succeed in Science and beyond.

Role Highlights:

• Full-time, permanent position at a fantastic PRU in Wandsworth
• Teach Science to small, mixed-ability classes, focusing on both theoretical and practical learning
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of students
• Create a supportive, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment where students can develop confidence in their academic abilities
• Collaborate closely with SENCOs, support staff, and external professionals to ensure effective learning strategies are in place
• Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles
• Foster a positive relationship with students to encourage their academic, social, and emotional growth

Experience & Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Science, ideally in a PRU, alternative provision, or SEN setting
• Strong understanding of how to support students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs and other additional learning needs
• A creative, adaptable, and proactive approach to teaching
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Enhanced DBS check required
