Science Teacher

An 'Outstanding' and supportive Secondary School in the Borough of Lambeth is seeking a Science Teacher for a September 2025 start. This is a full-time and permanent position.

The Science Department is strong, with a mix of experienced teachers, Teach First Teachers, and Science graduate Teaching Assistants. The school has excellent Progress 8 results across KS3, 4, & 5, and offers a creative learning environment.

Experienced teachers can take on roles such as KS3 & KS4 Coordinator or Pastoral Responsibilities, while Newly Qualified Teachers (ECT) will benefit from bespoke induction and mentorship programs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Teaching Science across KS3, 4, and 5
• Motivating and inspiring students
• Collaborating with a team of Science teachers
• Opportunities for TLR roles including KS3 & KS4 Coordinator and Pastoral Responsibilities
• Support for ECTs including mentorship and training

Person Specification:

• UK QTS or equivalent in progress
• Strong academic background (Degree, A Levels, GCSEs)
• Meeting the 8 Teaching Standards at a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' level
• Ability to work effectively within a team
• Willingness to accept feedback
