Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

A thriving secondary school in Lambeth seeks a passionate and skilled Science Teacher, with a specialism in Chemistry, to join their successful Science department. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a high-achieving and supportive team. The appointed Science Teacher will have a passion for Chemistry.

The Role:

  • Primarily teach Chemistry across Key Stages 3, 4, and ideally Key Stage 5 (A-Level Chemistry).
  • Contribute to the teaching of general Science at Key Stage 3.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Create a positive, safe, and inclusive laboratory/classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Science department.
  • Contribute to curriculum development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians.
  • Adhere to all school safeguarding policies.

The Ideal Candidate:The Science Teacher will be

  • Qualified: Possess QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • Experienced: Demonstrate a proven track record of teaching Chemistry.
  • Passionate: Have a genuine enthusiasm for Chemistry and a commitment to student success.
  • Skilled: Display excellent classroom management and communication abilities.
  • Collaborative: Be a strong team player.
