Job Description:

An Independent Boys' school in Barnet is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Science Teacher for a permanent, full-time role commencing in September. The successful Science Teacher will be passionate about all areas of Science and have the ability to effectively teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging Science lessons covering Biology, Chemistry, and Physics to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Prepare students thoroughly for GCSE examinations across the sciences, ensuring a strong foundational understanding.
  • Foster a stimulating and inquiry-based learning environment where students can explore scientific concepts practically.
  • Assess and monitor student progress across all science disciplines, providing comprehensive feedback.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the science curriculum and create innovative resources.
  • Encourage student engagement in science through practical experiments and real-world applications.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Science.
  • Experience in teaching Science at secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4), covering Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Strong knowledge across all three disciplines.
  • Excellent communication and practical teaching skills to make science accessible and engaging.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs.
