Science Teacher – Alternative Provision – September 2025 Start
Are you a passionate Science Teacher looking to make a real difference to the lives of young people? Are you confident teaching small classes of Key Stage 3 & 4 students who have been excluded from mainstream education? This fantastic alternative provision is looking for an experienced QTS Science Teacher to join their team on a long-term temporary basis from September 2025.

You will be working with students who have a range of social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, delivering engaging and accessible Science lessons in a supportive environment. Class sizes are small, and the provision has an excellent behaviour and pastoral team to support you in the classroom. Strong behaviour management skills, patience and a genuine desire to help students succeed are essential for this role. This is an excellent opportunity for a Science Teacher looking for a role where no two days are the same. You will be given the freedom to plan and deliver engaging science lessons that are tailored to the needs and abilities of your students.

Job role:
• Teaching Science to small groups of Key Stage 3 & 4 students
• Creating engaging, differentiated lessons that support students with SEMH needs
• Working alongside a supportive leadership and pastoral team
• Building positive relationships with students to support behaviour and engagement
• Taking part in whole-school CPD and contributing to a positive school culture
