Role: Science Teacher
Nature: Full-Time, Permanent

An innovative and supportive alternative provision in Haringey is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach in a nurturing environment where you can make a real difference in the lives of students who have faced barriers to learning in mainstream education. The successful candidate will inspire and support students to develop a love of science and reach their full potential.

Role Highlights:
  • Teach engaging Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
  • Differentiate and adapt the curriculum to meet the specific needs of students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges
  • Build positive relationships with students to foster trust, respect, and engagement in learning
  • Work alongside a dedicated team of staff, including SEN professionals, to provide holistic support for students
  • Encourage students’ academic and personal growth through tailored teaching strategies
  • Contribute to the inclusive and supportive ethos of the alternative provision
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
  • A passion for working with students who may have additional needs, including SEMH
  • Strong behavior management skills and a patient, empathetic approach
  • Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment for students with diverse needs
  • Enhanced DBS check required
