Teaching Personnel is seeking a Science Teacher for a maternity cover position at a secondary school in York, starting September 2025. This full-time role involves teaching General Science to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, ideal for both experienced teachers and newly qualified ECTs.

Salary: £30,000 – £46,525 per annum (dependent on experience)
Teaching Personnel are working closely with a secondary school in Yorkto recruit a Science Teacherto cover maternity leave from September 2025.
This is a full-time role, teaching General Science across Key Stages 3 and 4. The position is expected to run for the full duration of the maternity leave and would suit either an experienced teacher or a newly qualified ECT.
A well-established and supportive secondary school
Strong behaviour policies and an inclusive ethos
Excellent resources within the science department
Hold UK QTS (or equivalent)
Have experience teaching science in a UK secondary school
Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across KS3 and KS4
Be committed to raising attainment and inspiring a love of science
