Job description

Job Title: Science Teacher

Location: Park School, Chipping Norton

Salary: Up to £43,000 per annum depending on experience (not pro rata)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent, Term-Time Only

Start: September 2025

About the role

To provide the highest quality of education, care, and preparation for life for all students in the school. To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students with support from teaching staff.

To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students and to facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.

To contribute to raising standards of student attainment and behaviour and to share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.

Main responsibilities
  • Participate with the SMT and colleagues in developing syllabuses, materials, schemes of work, and lesson plans that engage and challenge students of all abilities, catering for all learning styles. This may include taking responsibility for specific courses.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons with clear differentiation to accommodate students of all abilities and backgrounds, ensuring individual progress.
  • Contribute to the preparation and delivery of SMSC elements across the curriculum.
  • Employ a variety of interactive teaching methods appropriate to the age and ability of each student to promote a love of learning and intellectual curiosity.

Experience
