Are you a Science Teacher committed to improving the lives of pupils and young people?

We are looking for an outstanding Science Teacher to join the Ashley Park School team.

As a Science Teacher, you will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the school curriculum in a way that maximises pupils' achievement and ability to develop.

Purpose of Job

1. To secure high-quality teaching, effective use of resources, and improve standards of learning and achievement for all pupils in consultation with the Headteacher/Senior Lead for curriculum and learning.
2. To teach a range of skills and techniques necessary for effective delivery of the school’s Science curriculum.
3. Support the development of the Science provision that has a whole school impact.

Have knowledge and understanding of:

• Strategies related to the education and personal development of SEN pupils, including effective behaviour management techniques and opportunities to praise and reward.
• Implementing the school’s vision, aims, priorities, targets, curriculum policies, and action plans in relation to classroom practice.
• Statutory curriculum requirements and assessment, recording, and reporting of pupils’ attainment and progress.
• The characteristics of high-quality teaching and learning, as well as strategies to improve and sustain high standards leading to achievement for all pupils.
• The implications of the code of practice for special educational needs for teaching and learning.

Educated to Post Graduate Cert Ed/QTS level, you will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative teaching style, motivated by helping every pupil reach their potential.
