Role: Science Teacher

Location: Taunton, Somerset

Contract: Full time, permanent

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £30,000 - £41,333 depending on experience

Start: As soon as possible

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an inspiring and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a thriving specialist school that champions a therapeutic approach to education. You’ll be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons to students who may have previously struggled in traditional educational settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver well-structured, differentiated Science lessons for KS3 and KS4
  • Effectively manage classroom behaviour and support students’ emotional needs
  • Implement assessment strategies aligned with current curriculum requirements
  • Work closely with colleagues and the wider pastoral team to support holistic student development

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or experienced instructor with relevant subject specialism
  • Strong classroom management and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs
  • A positive, flexible and resilient mindset with a passion for SEN education
  • Experience working with students in SEMH/SEN settings is desirable, but not essential
  • Willingness to engage in continued professional development and training
