Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
Teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics across the secondary curriculum where appropriate
Preparing resources and adapting lessons to meet different learning needs
Assessing student progress and providing appropriate feedback
Building positive relationships with students and staff
Managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining high expectations
Supporting pupils to develop their confidence, scientific knowledge and understanding
Contributing to the wider life of the Science department and school community
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Science at secondary level
Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum
Ability to teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics at KS3/KS4 is desirable
Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
A professional and positive classroom presence
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A commitment to supporting students to achieve their full potential
A genuine interest in securing a long-term Science Teacher role in Swinton
