Job Details

• Job Title: Science Teacher
• Location: Lamledge School, Shifnal TF11 8SD
• Salary: £45,000 per annum (not pro rata)
• Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday
• Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Science Teacher to join our close-knit team at Lamledge School located in Sutton-in-Ashfield.

About The Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will inspire curiosity, promote scientific thinking, and foster a love for learning through engaging and interactive lessons. This role includes planning and delivering instruction in one or more scientific disciplines, assessing student progress, and supporting academic success.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and teach individual students or small groups, in accordance with the School’s Curriculum framework and related policies
• Monitor, record, and report on student progress
• Contribute to and help implement developments related to the School Development Plan
• Promote, in line with Company policies, the physical, educational, and moral development of students
• Contribute to the development and implementation of learning environments and programs for individual students to ensure appropriate progression
• Coordinate the teaching, development, assessment, recording, and reporting of subjects and learning areas across key stages as agreed with the Headteacher
• Devise, implement, and review individual education plans, behavior plans, and other relevant plans in collaboration with staff
• Organize the classroom, resources, student groupings, and displays to provide a stimulating learning environment
• Plan to ensure student safety in line with risk assessments, on and off-site
• Ensure Learning Support Assistants, Tutors, Instructors, and care staff are well briefed and able to produce effective resources and teaching aids
