Job title: Science Teacher

A great permanent opportunity for a Science Teacher has become available at a secondary school in Salford – Greater Manchester. This secondary school's mission is to promote a culture of educational excellence, from within a caring and secure environment enriched with the values of discipline, mutual care and respect, which extends beyond the school into the wider community. This is a 5-form entry mixed secondary school for 11 to 16 year olds, which opened in September 2023. From September 2024 the school will be responsible for a cohort of year 7 and 8 pupils only – there will be no teaching at KS4.

We are looking for a Science Teacher who:

• Can plan and deliver high-quality science lessons in line with the KS3 curriculum
• Is able to teach all 3 Science subjects – Chemistry, Physics, and Biology
• Can monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to support their academic development
• Can recognise student strengths, and challenge them to ensure utmost success
• Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Will put students’ needs first

To be considered for this Science Teacher role, you must:

• Hold a PGCE with QTS
• Be a Science specialist
• Be able to deliver engaging, informative, and exciting lessons using a variety of methods
• Have the right to work in the UK on a permanent basis
