Start: May Half-Term or September 2025

The Opportunity:

Supply Desk is partnering with a dynamic secondary school in Rickmansworth to recruit a Science Teacher for an exciting role starting either May Half-Term or September 2025. This is the perfect opportunity for a passionate teacher who loves inspiring young minds and fostering a curiosity for science in students.

Your Role Will Include:

• Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS3 and KS4)
• Encouraging scientific inquiry and critical thinking in students
• Assessing student progress and maintaining accurate records
• Supporting the development of individual learning plans and interventions for students who need extra help
• Managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Collaborating with colleagues in the Science department and wider school community

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

• Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK
• Has a strong background in teaching Science (ideally Physics, Chemistry, or Biology)
• Has a passion for Science and the ability to inspire students
• Demonstrates effective classroom management skills and a creative approach to teaching
• Communicates effectively with students, parents, and staff
• Holds or is willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check
