Overview

Science Teacher – South East England, Berkshire, Reading

Expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary: £130 - £210 Per day

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging science lessons to students
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments, tests, and examinations
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic development
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment in the classroom
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and educational materials
Qualifications
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Science or related field; Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Science or related field
  • Experience: Previous experience teaching science subjects is preferred
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of the science curriculum; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to inspire and motivate students; Organisational and time-management skills; Adaptability and flexibility in a classroom setting
  • Preferred Qualifications: Postgraduate qualification in Education; Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds
Working Conditions
  • Work in a school setting following the academic calendar
  • Interact with students, parents, and colleagues on a daily basis
  • May require additional hours for lesson planning and grading
  • Adhere to school policies and procedures

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
