The Role:

We are looking for a passionate Science Teacher to deliver engaging lessons at KS3 and KS4 levels. This temporary position offers the opportunity to make a real impact and may lead to a permanent role for the right candidate. The ideal teacher will be able to teach general Science, with specialisms in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics welcomed.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Science lessons that cater to the needs of all learners.

Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and intervention where necessary.

Contribute to curriculum planning and participate in departmental meetings and school events.

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and curiosity.

Collaborate with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Experience: 1–2 years of teaching experience in a secondary school, with strong subject knowledge in Science.

Qualifications: A relevant Science degree and UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Training: Strong classroom management skills and familiarity with safeguarding practices.

Skills: Excellent communication, organisation, and the ability to inspire young minds.

Background checks: All applicants must undergo an enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) if not already registered with the Update Service.
