Science Teacher | September 2025 Start | Newham

A fantastic Secondary School, situated within the centre of the Borough of Newham, is seeking a Science Teacher / Science ECT to start full-time on a permanent basis in September 2025.

The Headteacher is looking for an inspiring and committed Science Teacher / Science ECT to join their focused and supportive Science Department. Throughout the school, the importance of reading and literacy is highlighted, and the school is keen to hire a Science Teacher / Science ECT sharing this same passion.

This Secondary School was judged as 'Good' by Ofsted. The Sixth Form and the behaviour and attitudes of the students were found to be 'Outstanding'. In 2023, the school ranked in the top 10% of schools in England based on provisional results achieved by Key Stage 4 pupils, and the majority of students go on to attend university each year.

Within the Science Teacher / Science ECT role, there are various opportunities for TLR for experienced teachers and eager ECTs, including Key Stage Co-ordinator, Lead Practitioner, and more.

6. Salary: MPS1 - UPS + TLRs (dependent on experience)
