GSL Education are excited to recruit a dedicated and talented Science Teacher to join a friendly school in Chapeltown starting September 2025. This role offers a great chance to inspire students with engaging lessons and make science both exciting and approachable for every learner.

Role Overview:

As a Science Teacher, you will provide engaging and effective lessons across various Key Stages, nurturing students’ enthusiasm for Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics. You’ll lead practical experiments, encourage scientific research, and connect learning to real-world contexts, supporting students in building solid foundations for exams and future studies.

Your Responsibilities as a Science Teacher:

• Teach engaging, carefully planned science lessons that follow the national curriculum guidelines.
• Differentiate instruction to support the diverse needs of all students, including those with SEND.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment during practical and classroom activities.
• Monitor student progress, offer meaningful feedback, and apply targeted support when needed.
• Actively contribute to the science department through collaboration and a positive attitude.
• Uphold consistently high standards for student behaviour and academic performance.

Candidate Requirements for Science Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Expertise in one or more scientific fields.
• Experience teaching Science across various Key Stages.
• Deep subject knowledge coupled with a strong enthusiasm for science education.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• A CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps clearly explained.
