TP Tutors is seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science tutors to support local secondary school students as they prepare for their GCSE Science exams. If you have a solid understanding of Biology, Chemistry, Physics—or all three—and a desire to help students achieve their potential, we’d love to hear from you.

Position: GCSE Science Tutor
Location: Hucknall, Nottinghamshire (in-person and remote options available)

About the Role

As a Science Tutor, you’ll deliver personalised, engaging lessons to secondary school students, helping them grasp key scientific concepts and build exam confidence. Whether working one-to-one or in small groups, you’ll make a real impact on their academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and deliver tailored sessions in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Combined Science
  2. Simplify complex scientific ideas into student-friendly learning
  3. Help students develop problem-solving skills and exam techniques
  4. Provide regular feedback to schools and parents on student performance
What We’re Looking For:
  1. Experience tutoring or teaching GCSE Science (any specialism welcome)
  2. Strong subject knowledge and clear communication skills
  3. Ability to adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs
  4. A degree in Science or Education is desirable but not essential
  5. Enthusiasm, reliability, and a passion for supporting young learners
