SEN Science Teacher - Empowering Young Minds

Location: Stoke-on-Trent

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Science Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking educational community in Stoke-on-Trent. About the Role:

As an SEN Science Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging and differentiated science lessons for students with a range of special educational needs. You will play a pivotal role in creating a positive and stimulating learning environment, adapting your teaching strategies to meet the unique requirements of each student, and celebrating their progress and achievements.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a Science-related subject.

  • Has proven experience teaching Science across a range of key stages.

  • Possesses a strong understanding of various special educational needs and effective strategies for supporting students with SEND.

  • Is skilled in differentiating curriculum and assessment to meet individual learning styles and needs.

  • Is patient, empathetic, resilient, and has a genuine desire to empower students to reach their full potential.

  • Can work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, including therapists, support staff, and parents.

  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
