GSL Education are currently looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join a vibrant school in the Hathersage area from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to help students explore the wonders of biology, chemistry, and physics.


As a Science Teacher, you will inspire students through interactive and thought-provoking lessons in various scientific disciplines, fostering curiosity and critical thinking while helping them grasp core concepts across different Key Stages.

Responsibilities as a Science Teacher:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons across all science subjects at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Plan practical and theory-based sessions that engage and challenge pupils.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing support where needed.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with the science department and wider school staff to support whole-school initiatives.

Requirements for Science Teacher:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
  • Specialism in one or more science disciplines.
  • Proven experience teaching science at UK school setting.
  • A current enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
  • Provide a full CV with a clear 10-year history, with any gaps explained.
