Science Teacher - Harrow - Full-Time - October Start - KS3-4 - Long-term

Are you a resilient and dedicated Science Teacher? We are currently recruiting for a passionate Science Teacher to join a supportive Alternative Provision Secondary School based in Harrow, working with students aged 11-16. This school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment, helping students to unlock their full potential with confidence while focusing on core subjects to prepare them for life beyond school. They are currently seeking a Science Teacher to teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 on a full-time, long-term basis, starting in October.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and follow the safeguarding and health & safety policies of the school.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Support students with a range of needs, including those displaying challenging behaviours.
  • Differentiate lessons to suit individual learning styles and abilities.
  • Create a positive and structured classroom environment that promotes learning and respect.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, mentors, and senior leaders to meet students' academic and emotional needs.
  • Track and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to encourage development.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Science at secondary level (KS3-KS4).
  • Previous experience working with challenging behaviours or in an alternative provision/SEMH setting is highly desirable.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient teaching approach.
