Job description

Science Teacher

The science department in this school is known for exciting experiments and STEM activities, from building water rockets to exploring chemical reactions. The school’s modern facilities and innovative approach to the science curriculum, hope to inspire the next leading scientist.

Contract: Full time - September Start

Salary: £162 - £223 per day

Skills and responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic science lessons that spark curiosity and inspire a love for the subject.
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities, ensuring every student can thrive while Identifying and supporting students who may need additional help, ensuring no one is left behind.
  • Assess, record, and report on students’ achievements, providing constructive feedback to foster improvement.
  • Work closely with other staff members to develop an engaging science curriculum and share best practices.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Science (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or a related field. Alternatively, a degree with a strong science component for teaching general science.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Science at secondary level is highly desirable.
