A dynamic and engaging Science Teacher is required to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Exeter this September on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire and challenge students in a supportive environment.

The successful candidate will deliver Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to specialise in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics depending on expertise. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an ECT, your passion for science and education will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver effective, engaging Science lessons in line with the curriculum.

  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.

  • Encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning.

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.

  • Work collaboratively within the science department and wider school community.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Have experience teaching Science at secondary level (KS3 & KS4).

  • Be enthusiastic, organised, and committed to student achievement.

  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and teaching skills.

  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.

  • Be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check and all relevant pre-employment checks.
