About the Role

Are you a Science Teacher looking for a role where you can make a genuine difference every day? At our school, you won't be teaching to a packed classroom or delivering a one-size-fits-all curriculum. You'll work with young people in small groups and 1:1 settings, creating engaging, personalised Science lessons that meet students where they are and help them achieve more than they thought possible.

We're looking for a teacher who is creative, resilient, and passionate about making Science accessible and exciting—someone who can build trust, inspire curiosity, and help young people overcome barriers to learning.

What You'll Do
  • Deliver engaging Science lessons up to GCSE level, adapting teaching to individual needs, abilities, and learning styles.
  • Create practical, meaningful learning experiences that build knowledge, confidence, independence, and a love of Science.
  • Build positive relationships with students and provide calm, consistent support for those who may experience barriers to learning or challenging behaviour.
  • Track progress and contribute to Individual Education Plans and Behaviour Plans, ensuring support is purposeful and responsive.
  • Work collaboratively with LSAs, tutors, care staff, and other professionals to provide consistent support.
  • Contribute to the development of Science across the school and help create a stimulating learning environment.
What We're Looking For
  • QTS, PgCert Ed or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Science to GCSE level.
  • A creative and flexible approach to adapting lessons for individual students and small groups.
  • The resilience and confidence to support young people who may display challenging behaviour or have complex barriers to learning.
  • A genuine belief that every young person can achieve, given the right relationships, support, and opportunities.
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and high-quality education.
