We are working in partnership with a well-established Orthodox Jewish secondary school to recruit a committed and respectful Science Teacher. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and accessible lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, and an A level specialism, tailored to meet the needs of pupils within a culturally observant setting.
Plan and deliver lessons in accordance with a modified curriculum that is sensitive to the ethos of the school.
Teach general science across KS3 and GCSE-level science at KS4 (Triple or Combined, depending on cohort).
Create a respectful and supportive classroom environment that promotes both academic excellence and strong values.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure content aligns with community expectations, particularly around topics such as origins of life and reproduction.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent; NQTs and experienced teachers welcome.
Respect for the religious and cultural values of the Charedi Jewish community.
Willingness to adapt curriculum content as necessary in line with school guidelines.
Prior experience working in faith schools is an advantage.
Strong classroom management and a calm, nurturing approach.
