Science Teacher – Secondary School – Dukinfield – Full-Time Role Starting September

Teaching Personnel are seeking a committed and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join the Science department at a thriving, Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ secondary school in Dukinfield. This is a full-time teaching role starting from September, covering KS3 and KS4 Science. The school has a strong academic ethos, excellent leadership, and a supportive environment for staff and students alike.

Contract Type: Full-time, long-term
Pay: Paid in line with your scale (MPS/UPS)

The Role:

1. Deliver engaging Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4
2. Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
3. Teach general Science, with potential to specialise in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics at KS4 depending on experience
4. Monitor pupil progress, providing timely feedback and interventions where needed
5. Contribute to the wider life of the Science department and whole school community

The Ideal Candidate:

1. Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification
2. Has experience teaching Science at secondary level
3. Passionate about Science and committed to inspiring young learners
4. Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
5. Able to differentiate lessons to suit a wide range of abilities
6. A team player with a proactive and flexible attitude
7. An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
