Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic and engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Teach across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (specialism preferred but not essential).
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and achievement.
  • Support students in developing a strong understanding of scientific concepts and practical skills.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through enrichment activities or science clubs.
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour, ensuring a safe and supportive classroom environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in a science-related subject.
  • Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science education.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and the well-being of all students.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
