Science Teacher - Mainstream Secondary School, Crawley

Location: West Sussex
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Driving Required: Yes (due to location)

Academics is currently recruiting for a dynamic and dedicated Science Teacher to join a forward-thinking mainstream secondary school in East Grinstead. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver engaging science lessons and inspire students to explore the world around them.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and teach engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics across Key Stages
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and guidance
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional support needs
  • Contribute to the development of the science curriculum and department
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Science at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence preferred (school may not be easily accessible by public transport)
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply
