Salary: £150 – £250 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

A thriving and forward-thinking secondary school in Barnet is looking to appoint a Science Teacher to join their dynamic department from September 2025. The school is known for its inclusive ethos, supportive leadership, and focus on high academic achievement through inspiring teaching.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Delivering well-structured and stimulating Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience welcomed but not essential).

Planning engaging schemes of work that align with the national curriculum and cater to mixed-ability classes.

Using practical experiments, digital tools, and real-world applications to enhance scientific understanding.

Monitoring and assessing student progress, offering feedback to support academic growth.

Creating a safe, well-managed, and inclusive classroom where students feel motivated and supported.

Who We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification in Science.

A subject specialism in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Combined Science.

A strong grasp of curriculum content and current educational practices.

Passionate about delivering outstanding teaching and making Science exciting and accessible for all learners.

Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.

A valid enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
