A highly reputable and well-established secondary school in the heart of Bromley is seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Science to join its committed staff team from September 2025. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality science education across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach at Key Stage 5 depending on experience and specialism.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and effective Science lessons to students across a range of abilities.
2. Inspire a love of learning and curiosity about the natural world.
3. Assess and track student progress, providing clear feedback and intervention where necessary.
4. Contribute to the wider life of the Science department and the school community.
5. Uphold high standards of behaviour, attendance, and academic effort.
6. Participate in ongoing professional development and departmental collaboration.

Requirements:

1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
2. A degree in a Science-related discipline.
3. Experience teaching Science at secondary level, including up to GCSE (A-level experience desirable but not essential).
4. A strong understanding of the UK national curriculum.
5. Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
6. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
7. A positive, flexible attitude and a genuine enthusiasm for science education.
