Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment in Bradford is partnering with a local secondary school to recruit an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join the department and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4.

The role is full-time and long-term with pay aligned to MPS/UPS, dependent on experience. The ideal candidate holds QTS or equivalent, demonstrates strong subject knowledge, and can maintain excellent classroom management.

• Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry or Physics.

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics in line with the curriculum.
• Assess, monitor and support pupil progress.
• Maintain strong classroom and behaviour management.
• Provide additional support to pupils where required.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Science department.
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding and professional conduct.

The Role

We are working in partnership with a secondary school in the Bradford area who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to join their department.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics in line with the curriculum
• Assess, monitor and support pupil progress
• Maintain strong classroom and behaviour management
• Provide additional support to pupils where required
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Science department
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding and professional conduct

The Ideal Candidate

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Have experience teaching Science within a secondary school
• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge
• Have confident and consistent classroom management
• Be passionate about helping young people achieve their potential
• Be reliable, professional and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Hold, or be willing to obtain, an enhanced DBS and complete all required safeguarding checks
