Job description

Aspire People are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join a dynamic team in a well-established secondary school in Birmingham, starting in January 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is enthusiastic about fostering a love of science and helping students to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will be teaching General Science to students across Key Stage 3 and 4, with the potential to teach A-Level for the right candidate.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Science lessons to students in Key Stage 3 and 4 (and potentially A-Level).
  2. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel motivated and supported.
  3. Work closely with the department to share resources and best practices.
  4. Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and intervention where necessary.
  5. Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  1. Have a relevant degree in Science or a related subject (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, etc.).
  2. Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be in the process of obtaining it.
  3. Be an enthusiastic and innovative teacher who is passionate about Science.
  4. Have strong classroom management skills and a commitment to student progress.
  5. Be a team player, collaborating with colleagues to maintain high teaching standards.
