Job Summary

The Science Teacher will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging and effective science lessons to students, creating a positive and supportive learning environment, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance the overall science program.

Requirements

• PGCE with a Science specialism or QTS in the UK
• Experience teaching Science for the Key Stage (KS3) and Key Stage (KS4) either from prior teaching roles or during your training
• A deep understanding of the Science curriculum, with the ability to teach across multiple scientific disciplines
• Experience in assessing student performance, providing constructive feedback, and adapting lessons based on student needs
• Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to obtain one)
• Two professional references are required for this position

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging, interactive lessons that align with the curriculum and meet the needs of all students
• Contribute to the development and review of the Science curriculum
• Plan and supervise Science experiments and practical sessions, ensuring students' safety at all times
• Maintain records of student attendance, progress, and assessments
