Job Title: Science Teacher

About Us:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dynamic and passionate Science Teacher to join one of our partner secondary schools in Ashford. The school is well-established, with a strong commitment to delivering outstanding education and fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Role and Responsibilities:
As a Science Teacher, you will:

  1. Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 3, 4, and 5 curriculum.
  2. Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in Biology.
  3. Assess, track, and report on student progress to ensure continuous development.
  4. Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning atmosphere.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental initiatives.
  6. Provide extra support to students, including those with special educational needs (SEN), to enhance learning outcomes.
  7. Participate in school events, parents' evenings, and staff meetings.

Requirements:
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  2. A degree in a Science related subject.
  3. Previous experience teaching Science at secondary level (Key Stages 3-5).
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. A passion for teaching and commitment to student development.
  6. An Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
