Ready for your talents to be nurtured?
This is a fantastic role for an enthusiastic, ambitious Science teacher (all subject specialists welcome but ideally Chemistry or Physics) who is eager to develop in their career.
Our Science department is an ambitious, strong department, with a fun, friendly mix of teachers from different backgrounds and subject specialisms. A lot of our colleagues are experienced and long-standing members of the department but we also have some Early Career Teachers and will have some Trainee Teachers in the department from September as well. We have a well-resourced curriculum (we teach AQA) and the Head of Department is open, supportive and always eager to always consider new, improved methods of teaching. The department works collaboratively, making the most of their protected co-planning time. We have 8 Science labs, a wealth of prep-rooms with good quality equipment and we have a healthy resource budget within the department as well. We benefit from a fantastic, supportive Lab Technician as well.
We strongly believe in a healthy work-life balance so there is a streamlined approach to marking and assessment, which runs alongside digital tools to reduce teacher workload. Science is a popular subject at Winton and our students love to get involved in field trips and extra-curricular activities.
The team is vibrant, energetic and loves to share ideas and work together to make every day interesting and rewarding.
This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact on the lives of young people.
