Responsibilities

• Copy-edit assigned non-primary content within agreed turnaround times, ensuring readability, grammar, accuracy and house style.
• Ensure figures are accurately reproduced and consistent with text.
• Collaborate with production staff to set priorities and edit figures across teams.
• Check authors’ proofs and incorporate reasonable corrections.
• Ensure final content is accurate and delivered to authors’ satisfaction.
• Resolve copy-editing queries escalated from authors or other departments.
• Provide assistance to other sub-editors according to workload.
