Job summary

The Coleshill School in England is seeking an enthusiastic Second in Science to join a supportive, ambitious team. This role carries a key leadership responsibility within the Science department, supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the curriculum.

The successful candidate will raise achievement, develop teaching quality and inspire students to develop a strong understanding and enthusiasm for Science, while leading and collaborating with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Science at secondary level.

Responsibilities

• Support leadership and development of the Science department, working with the Head of Science.
• Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and inclusive Science lessons.
• Monitor and evaluate teaching, learning and student progress within the department.
• Use assessment data to identify development areas and improve student outcomes.
• Support colleagues through collaboration and sharing good practice.
• Promote high standards of behaviour, achievement and engagement across the department.
• Contribute to curriculum development and wider school life.
