Job summary

The Norton Knatchbull School is seeking a Lab Technician Apprentice to support Science teaching by preparing experiments and organising equipment. You will work across GCSE and A-Level practical activities, ensuring safety and smooth lab operations.

We value good communication, literacy and numeracy, with practical technical skills to set up equipment and support science lessons within our two well-equipped laboratories.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will have good communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
• Technical expertise is preferred as setting up equipment and supporting GCSE and A Level practicals are required.
• A degree of computer literacy and awareness of Health & Safety is expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare practical lessons and provide continued support to the Science faculty.
• Prepare experiments and organise equipment for lessons.
• Support GCSE and A Level 'Required Practical' activities and maintain lab safety.
• Work in a well-equipped laboratory environment.
